Meet Angelia Spraberry

From the planning stages of a design project to creating the design concept through completing a beautiful new room, it’s all very satisfying to me. I discovered my love for interior design in the late 1980s as a furniture buyer for a large hospital and university in Birmingham, Alabama. I was mentored by my predecessor in that position, who encouraged me to go to school to get my interior design degree. I took her advice, and in 1990 received my interior design degree.

After working several years as a buyer and designer, we moved out of state for my husband’s job. I made the decision to put my design career on hold and begin a new career as a stay-at-home mom. I am so thankful to have had this opportunity and I would not trade it for anything!

During the next few years, our family moved several times. Each move brought the opportunity to either design and build a new home or renovate an existing one. I was thrilled with every move because it was a new adventure, and it gave me the opportunity to practice what I love to do, interior design.

Now, my husband and I are “empty nesters”! The perfect time to start my own business! So, that is what I did! I am so thankful to have been awarded a Decorating Den Interiors Franchise and the opportunity to begin a new adventure, with my business Oak Highland Design – Decorating Den Interiors.

I look forward to serving my clients by helping them make their visions for their homes become a reality. I want my clients to have that same satisfying feeling I first experienced thirty years ago. That moment when the project is complete, your heart flutters just a little from the joyfulness you feel, because your home is beautiful.
